Recently I got back from a trip to Switzerland and Germany and had the opportunity to stock up on some goodies. In a previous blog I noted how amazing the Milka Oreo Chocolate Bars were and how difficult they were to find in the United States. They came out on the market right after I left Germany last time and in order to enjoy them I had to purchase a set of 3 bars on Amazon.
This time when I went to Germany I stocked up completely. I got six Milka Oreo chocolate bars to enjoy but also picked up something that I had previously forgotten about. Milka Chocowafers are the perfect combination of cookie and chocolate. It’s a circular wafer cookie with chocolate between wafers and then completely dipped in a thick layer of Milka chocolate.
Milka Chocowafer Availability
The first time I had Milka Chocowafers I purchased them at a store in Germany several years ago but completely forgot. When I went back this time I purchased a package of 8 wafers but I’m already running low. Thankfully you can turn to Amazon where they have a package of Chocowafers available. I’ve already ordered some for when I inevitably run out of wafers in the next day or so.
If you’re looking to find the Milka Chocowafers beyond the confines of the internet there are often local European shops that carry chocolates and treats from Europe and they may have Chocowafers available there. Even if they don’t have the specific chocolate or good you’re looking for, they often have fantastic imported food, drinks, and desserts and best of all you’re supporting a local business. If you’re in the Boston area the best place to get German and Austrian food is Karl’s Sausage Kitchen in Peabody, MA. You just head up Route 1 from Boston and it’s a 15-20 minute drive just after Saugus.
