I’ve always been obsessed with trying to minimize the amount of stuff I have in my pockets. Usually a leather wallet, bare minimum number of keys, and my phone. About a year ago I bought a thin leather wallet. I’m always on the look-out for thin wallets that can reduce the pocket bulge. I’ve had a $100 Amazon gift certificate for awhile due to cashing out some of my useless Bank of America points and had been looking for something to purchase with it. While browsing around I stumbled upon the All-Ett Nylon Wallet collection and ended up purchasing the All-Ett Black Nylon Wallet with the Inside ID Billfold.
I’ve been intrigued by the idea of a nylon wallet. There are companies out there re-using old sailboat nylon sails and re purposing them to bags and wallets and I’d always thought they were cool but perhaps not that useful in real life. Well with a $100 gift card balance on Amazon and a $20 wallet in front of me on my screen I decided to plunge in and purchase it.
All-Ett Nylon Wallet Review: Thickness
When I first opened it I was astounded at just how thin the wallet was compared to my old “thin” leather wallet. I took a picture of my old empty wallet compared to the new All-Ett Nylon Wallet with the exact same contents full. They’re essentially the same size and it feels like nothing in my pocket compared to the big money clip thin leather wallet I bought at Macy’s. In terms of thickness I’m completely 100% satisfied with now having a nylon wallet. A lot of reviewers online who have owned All-Ett Nylon Wallets for years have also claimed the durability of the nylon wallets is better than their leather counterparts.
ALL-ETT NYLON WALLET REVIEW: # of Cards
I know tons of people who keep 120 credit cards, business cards, and coupons in their wallet and it gives them back pain. I’ve always tried to carry a light wallet but with my previous thin leather wallet finding space was always an issue. The leather stuck to the cards when you put a bunch in the same pocket and it was generally an unpleasant experience.
With the All-Ett Nylon Wallet I’ve been able to put two cards in each pocket with absolutely no problem. The one downside I’ve experienced so far is that if you only want 1 card per slot it might fall or slip out of the wallet. I recommend having two cards per slot. The clear window on the ID Billfold model is also fantastic for my building’s security. Just flip open the wallet and it’s easily displayed.
ALL-ETT NYLON WALLET REVIEW: Billfold
My biggest complaint about my previous leather wallet with a money clip was that with more than 8 bills the clip wouldn’t close. It was magnetic so once the money wad was thick it wouldn’t work. With the All-Ett Nylon Wallet that isn’t a problem since it’s a normal billfold. It has two sections and the nylon material is so thin that it really doesn’t add to the thickness at all.
ALL-ETT NYLON WALLET REVIEW: Conclusion
In conclusion it’s by far the best wallet I’ve owned so far. Some people don’t like the slick nylon material and honestly it does make that crinkle noise but it’s not that bad. It’s fantastically thin and I plan on using it for a long time in the future.
The model that I purchased was the All-Ett Black Nylon Inside ID Billfold Wallet but they also have other models available including:
- The All-Ett Original Black Nylon Billfold Wallet, which is more of a traditional wallet
- The All-Ett Mini Card Case, which doesn’t handle money but is good for just cards
- The All-Ett Black Leather Sports Billfold Wallet which is great for the gym but doesn’t have as many card slots as the one I purchased.
